Ps 53.2 " God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God."
There is a longing on the part of God for our fellowship. I know, that seems crazy. After all if there was ever a sufficient one it is God! But for some reason that I can't seem to get a grip mentally on - he wants to be in my presence. During times of extended seeking we can often approach God as if we are the ones hungering for presence- but we are not alone.
Yes, we have our presnece hunger, but God longs for imtimacy with us. This Spirit inside, crying out "Abba, Abba", was his idea. I don't (can't) take credit for my pursuit of him. I am busy running myself in his direction. But like me, he reciprocates my drawing near.
Good news- it makes the pursuit shorter!

As I read 'day 14' I had to go back and reread it. Then I send it to a few people (my personal prayer chain) and said - lets discuss. One's reply was wrote back - Very Nice!
I guess never really looked at it that way…
If you really think about it, as much as we long for Him, He too is longing for Us….
What’s more beautiful than two longing for each other because of love…
It’s definitely a LOVE STORY that would blow any heart away!!!
Upon getting that reply I went back again and reread it and WOW how that is what it is!
I then received another reply from another person and she needed to read the reply 'love story' to then appreciate your blog for what it really said. So I figured, in case anyone else needs the 'love story' reply I'd comment.
finally - yes.... yes... presence hunger!!!
